I am participating in challenges on several digi scrap websites. On www.sweetshoppedesigns.com they do a thing called From Our Blog To Yours (FOBTY) where they ask a question and you answer it on your blog. That is where I got the previous post "What's Your Word". Anyways, this question is "how do you celebrate birthdays?" In our family, we celebrate birthdays with just our family most years and have big parties on "special" years. It just got too crazy doing parties for every child every year. We decided that these were the special years:
5 years-starting school
8 years-getting baptized
12 years-going to young men's
16 years-driving, dating
who knows after that!
So this year, we have one big birthday-Kaleb turns 8 and will get baptized in October!
I can't believe my first born will be that old!
Anyways, that's what we do. For big birthdays we go all out with a party with friends and family. On the other years, it is just us with cake and ice cream, presents and their favorite dinner.
